Macedonian Institute for European Studies (MIES) is a non-profit organization founded in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia aiming to develop academic cooperation and research in the field of European integration, providing education and training within the area of concern for European studies and building a network for creating and exchange of academic research results by publishing the works of the authors. The main goal of MIES is to develop a platform for academic interaction among scholars and exchange of ideas by dissemination of the works and their presentation at our conferences.

MIES was founded by a group of scholars from the State Law Faculty “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje with an idea to build and develop a network of researchers, academics, scholars, postgraduate and doctoral students that will contribute by their works and ideas into creating a platform for exchange of their knowledge and results.

MIES aims to build and develop the network by actively inviting all academics, scholars, postgraduate and doctoral students and other researches to participate at our conferences, create panels and contribute by new ideas in our projects. MIES would foster the dissemination of the authors’ works by publishing and further promotion. The Institute values and encourages the authors individual research, considering that pluralism of research can result with innovative and creative works and contribute for free academic expression.

The European leading idea for cooperation and building common future based on respect of the European values serves as our main idea for creating a network for cooperation of academic researchers aiming to exchange and promote works and ideas.
